MediCalculator ("the App") is a medical calculator application for Android developed by Islomov Odilxon Rustamovich ("we", "us", or "the Developer"). The App provides over 150 medical calculators across multiple clinical specialties. Your privacy is important to us. This policy comprehensively explains what data the App accesses, collects, uses, stores, and shares, as well as your rights regarding that data.

1. Overview of Data Practices

The App is designed to operate primarily offline. All medical calculations are performed locally on your device. We do not operate any servers that receive, store, or process your data. The only network connections the App makes are to Google services for advertising (AdMob), ad consent management (UMP), and in-app purchase verification (Google Play Billing).

We do not collect, transmit, or store any of your personal or health data on any external server.

2. Health Data — Access, Collection, and Usage

Because the App is a medical calculator, it accesses and processes Health Data that you voluntarily enter. This section comprehensively describes the types of Health Data involved, how it is used, and how it is stored.

2.1 Types of Health Data Accessed

When you use a medical calculator, you may enter health-related values such as:

Vital signs — blood pressure (systolic/diastolic), heart rate, respiratory rate, body temperature, oxygen saturation (SpO₂)
Body measurements — height, weight, body mass index (BMI), body surface area (BSA)
Laboratory values — serum creatinine, blood glucose, hemoglobin, bilirubin, albumin, cholesterol, triglycerides, INR, platelets, AST, ALT, sodium, potassium, calcium, and other blood test results
Demographic information used in clinical formulas — age, biological sex, and race/ethnicity (only when required by specific validated medical formulas, such as GFR calculations)
Clinical assessment scores — Glasgow Coma Scale responses, NIH Stroke Scale assessments, SOFA score components, and other clinical scoring inputs
Obstetric and fetal measurements — gestational age, last menstrual period (LMP), fetal biometric measurements (biparietal diameter, femur length, abdominal circumference, head circumference)
Medication information — drug doses and types for dose conversion calculators (e.g., steroid converter, insulin dose calculator)

2.2 How Health Data Is Used

Health Data you enter is used solely for the following purposes:

Performing medical calculations — Your input values are processed by the calculator's formula engine on your device to produce a clinical result (e.g., GFR, BMI, risk score).
Displaying clinical interpretations — The calculated result may be accompanied by a clinical interpretation (e.g., "Stage 3 CKD", "Low risk").
Storing calculation history — If you perform a calculation, the input values, result, and interpretation are saved to a local on-device database so you can review your past calculations. This history is stored only on your device.

2.3 How Health Data Is Stored

All Health Data is stored exclusively on your device in an on-device database (Android Room database).
The App only processes anonymous numerical values (e.g., lab results, measurements). It does not ask for, store, or process any patient-identifying information such as patient names, patient IDs, medical record numbers, dates of birth, or any other data that could identify a specific patient.
Health Data is never transmitted to any external server, cloud service, or third party.
Health Data is never shared with advertisers, analytics providers, or any other third party.
Health Data is never used for advertising, profiling, or any purpose other than providing the calculator functionality you requested.

2.4 Health Data Deletion

You are in full control of your Health Data at all times:

You can delete individual calculation history entries within the App.
You can clear all calculation history within the App.
You can delete all App data by going to your device Settings > Apps > MediCalculator > Storage > Clear Data.
Uninstalling the App will permanently delete all stored Health Data from your device.

Data we do NOT collect:

We do not collect patient names, patient IDs, medical record numbers, or any other personally identifiable information of users or their patients.
We do not collect names, email addresses, phone numbers, or any account information.
We do not collect precise location data (GPS).
We do not use analytics or crash-reporting services (no Firebase Analytics, no Crashlytics, no third-party analytics SDKs).
We do not access your contacts, camera, microphone, files, or any other device sensors.
We do not create user accounts or require sign-up.

4. Permissions

The App requests the following Android permissions:

INTERNET — Required to load advertisements (Google AdMob) and to verify in-app purchase status (Google Play Billing). Not used to transmit your Health Data or personal information.
ACCESS_NETWORK_STATE — Required to check whether a network connection is available before attempting to load ads. Not used for any other purpose.

The App does not request access to your location, contacts, camera, microphone, storage, or any other sensitive permissions.

5. Advertising (Google AdMob)

The free version of the App displays banner and interstitial ads provided by Google AdMob. When ads are shown, the AdMob SDK may collect and process the following data in accordance with Google's Privacy Policy:

Device advertising identifier (Google Advertising ID)
IP address
General location derived from IP address (country/region level — not GPS)
Device information (model, OS version, screen size)
App interaction data for ad relevance (e.g., ad impressions, clicks)

Important: Your Health Data (calculator inputs, results, history) is never shared with AdMob or used for ad targeting in any way.

If you are in the European Economic Area (EEA), the UK, or another jurisdiction requiring consent, the App uses Google's User Messaging Platform (UMP) to request your consent before personalized advertising. You may choose non-personalized ads or withdraw consent at any time through the App's settings.

Premium users who purchase the "Remove Ads" option will not see any ads, and the AdMob SDK will not be initialized — meaning no advertising-related data will be collected by Google.

6. In-App Purchases (Google Play Billing)

The App offers a one-time in-app purchase to remove ads. This transaction is processed entirely by Google Play Billing. We do not collect, process, or store any payment information (credit card numbers, billing addresses, etc.). All payment processing is handled by Google. See Google Payments Privacy Notice.

The only information we receive from Google Play Billing is whether the purchase was successful, which is stored locally on your device as a boolean flag to determine whether to show ads.

7. Third-Party Services

The App integrates the following third-party services. Each service has its own privacy policy governing the data it collects:

Google AdMob (advertising) — Google Privacy Policy

The App does not integrate any other third-party services such as analytics, crash reporting, social media SDKs, or data brokers.

8. Data Retention and Deletion

8.1 Locally Stored Data

All data stored by the App (Health Data in calculation history, favorites, preferences, usage statistics) is retained on your device until you choose to delete it. There is no automatic expiration. You may delete this data at any time by:

Deleting individual history entries or clearing all history within the App.
Clearing all app data via device Settings > Apps > MediCalculator > Storage > Clear Data.
Uninstalling the App, which permanently removes all locally stored data.

8.2 Third-Party Data

Data collected by Google AdMob, Google UMP, and Google Play Billing is retained according to Google's own data retention policies. We do not have access to or control over this data. You can manage your Google ad personalization settings at Google Ads Settings.

9. Data Sharing

We do not sell, trade, rent, or otherwise share your data with third parties, except as described below:

Google AdMob may collect device and ad interaction data as described in Section 5. This data is used solely for serving advertisements and is governed by Google's Privacy Policy.
Google Play Billing processes payment transactions as described in Section 6.

Your Health Data is never shared with any third party for any reason.

10. Children's Privacy

The App is intended for use by healthcare professionals, medical students, and adults. It is not directed at children under 13 (or under 16 in the EEA). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided data through the App, please contact us and we will take steps to delete such data.

11. Your Rights

For users in the European Economic Area (EEA) and UK (GDPR)

You have the right to:

Access the personal data held about you
Rectify inaccurate personal data
Request erasure of your personal data
Restrict or object to the processing of your personal data
Withdraw consent for personalized advertising at any time
Lodge a complaint with a data protection authority

For users in California (CCPA/CPRA)

You have the right to:

Know what personal information is collected
Request deletion of your personal information
Opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information (we do not sell your data)
Non-discrimination for exercising your privacy rights

How to Exercise Your Rights

Since all Health Data and personal data is stored locally on your device, you can exercise most rights directly:

Clear your calculation history within the App.
Clear all app data through your device settings.
Adjust ad consent preferences in the App's settings.
Uninstall the App to delete all locally stored data.

12. Security

We take appropriate measures to protect your data:

All data is stored on your device using Android's standard application sandboxing and storage mechanisms.
No Health Data is transmitted over the internet.
Network connections (for ads and billing only) use HTTPS encryption.
We do not operate any servers that store your data.

13. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be reflected by the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. We encourage you to review this policy periodically. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
